About
the Author
Karon Phillips Goodman is a freelance journalist who frequently writes on stepfamily issues. She publishes a monthly newsletter, The Stepparenting Journey, and writes a monthly column, “The Stepmom’s Sideroom,” for Momscape.com. She also is a frequent contributor to Bride Again magazine and was formerly the Stepparenting Guide for About.com. Karon’s work has appeared in Woman’s Day, Writer’s Digest, The Writing Parent, Women’s Circle, and numerous other publications and websites.
Karon is the author of a bestselling e-book for stepmothers, It's Not My Stepkids -- It's Their Mom! (EquiLibrium Press), two e-books for children, and three inspirational books published by Barbour.
Karon has been a stepmother since 1996. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Montevallo, Karon resides with her husband, son, and (often) two stepsons in Oxford, Alabama. When she has the time, she loves to garden, sew, and paint floorcloths and murals.
